Outdoor swimming season coming to a close

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but the first sign that summer is winding down has arrived. As of Monday, August 17, beach season ended and Ottawa’s five beaches are no longer supervised by lifeguards. Closing dates for outdoor pools and wading pools will vary over the coming weeks until the end of August. Most of the City’s splash pads will continue to operate between 9am to 9pm until September 16. Visit for more details.
