Constance Bay Community Market

The Constance and Buckham’s Bay Community Association will be holding its first Community Market at St. Gabriel’s Church 205 Bayview Drive on Sept 12 and for the following five Saturdays. It will run from 9am to noon. There will be fresh produce, fresh roasted coffee beans, arts and crafts and homemade treats. For details visit cbbca.ca.

Celebrate the Hills

"Celebrate the Hills” is a public event happening September 13 from 10:30am-3:30pm on a 50-acre private property in the Carp Hills at 150 Donald B. Munro Drive. There will be art sales and displays, nature walks, family activities, refreshments and music. Discover the beauty of Carp’s own Canadian Shield wilderness! S.E.A.T.S. for Kids fundraising event

On Sunday, September 13, S.E.A.T.S. for Kids will be holding a fundraising event called "Big Box Building Day" at the arena in Carp, 108 Juanita Avenue. S.E.A.T.S. for Kids is a non-profit organization located in Ottawa dedicated to increasing the appropriate and correct use of child restraint systems of children in our community.

This event will have a walk-in car seat inspection clinic from 10am to 1pm. As well there will be hundreds of boxes for building and painting with an effort to raise funds for their S.E.A.T.S. for Kids. There will also be a bouncy castle, face painting, Little Ray's Reptiles, touch-a-truck and crafts.

West Carleton Snowmobile Trails Association – Annual General Meeting

The West Carleton Snowmobile Trails Association is holding their Annual General Meeting on Tuesday, September 15, 7:30pm, at the Kinburn Community Centre. Board of Directors will be nominated and elected. All current permit holders are encouraged to attend and participate. The club is currently looking for people who would be willing to join as directors, volunteer coordinators and in other volunteer positions. Amendments to club by-laws will also be presented for member approval. Immediately following the AGM the newly appointed Board will commence with the election of President, Vice President and other Officers for the 2015-2016 season.
