Do you find it difficult to come up with healthy meals that your family will enjoy? Or do you need some tips on how to eat locally on a budget? On Thursday, January 26, from 6-8:30pm, at the Galetta Community Centre (119 Darwin St.) join Judi Varga-Toth from Deep Roots Food Hub and Courtney Fowler, Dietician from the West Carleton Family Health Team, for an evening of delicious learning. During this hands on workshop, Judi will teach you how to cook a variety of healthy, simple dishes with locally available foods. While you're eating, Courtney will take the guess work out of winter meal planning. Learn all about immune boosting foods that will help keep you healthy in the winter. Older children are welcome to join and childcare is available upon request. For more information please email firstname.lastname@example.org. The Deep Roots Food Hub is a coalition of farmers, market gardeners, health professionals and other West Carleton residents who advocate for a healthier, more secure and sustainable food system.
