The next meeting of the Huntley Township Historical Society will take place on January 16, 2018 at 7:30pm in the Memorial Hall in Carp. The guest speaker will be Roger Thomas who will address the topic entitled "From whence did the British come? A look at the early invasions of the British Isles.” There is much discussion about how DNA analysis can tell us where our ancestors originated. It is not as obvious as you may think. The origins of the various people who invaded the British Isles since the last glaciation, including the Celts, Romans, Norsemen and others, will be described along with the areas they affected. Refreshments will be served after the meeting. As always, meetings are open to the public and you are encouraged to bring along a friend or two. Information: please call Suzanne. 613-839-5203
